G-DRAGON showcasing his presence with
unmatched musicality and stage performances,
Stray Kids sweeping major global charts
and continuing their stadium tours,
ATEEZ and TWICE steadily expanding
their fandoms through global tours,
to IVE and aespa expanding their influence
in the global market—K-pop has positioned itself
as the core content leading global pop culture
beyond its genre.
At the same time, a new generation of artists
such as RESCENE, MEOVV, BABYMONSTER,
ALL DAY PROJECT, ALPHA DRIVE ONE and AHOF
are capturing the attention of global fans with
their original music and performances,
leading the future of K-pop.
The new K-pop ecosystem—where AI,

In 1986, the Golden Disc Awards, which laid the foundation for the creation of Korean popular music, discovered new talent, and contributed to the growth of the album and music industry,
was launched by the daily sports newspaper. For 35 years, it has been a leading force in the Korean Wave,
doing its best to create the K-pop of today, and last year, it successfully hosted the ‘2024 Korea Grand Music Awards.’
Now, Daily Sports is preparing for the 2nd KGMA to open up a new future through K-culture.
The award ceremony stage will be decorated with respect for the stars who play an important role in promoting fairness, popularity, and K-culture.
The winners will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation of fair judging by a panel of experts in each field, digital music streaming and album sales, and fan popularity through mobile voting,
contributing to the spread of Hallyu culture. By dividing all K-pop stars into various categories,
the awards will satisfy both musical expertise and popularity reflected in fandom, making it the only awards ceremony of its kind.
KGMA is set to become the award ceremony that all K-culture and K-pop fans look forward to and participate in the most, growing together with all fans who love K-culture and K-pop.
